That of course caused quite the buzz earlier this year when it was revealed that the pair were expecting. Sloan reportedly once played the body double for Pamela Anderson in Baywatch who of course Baio dated and once played the role of boyfriend for Anderson for a few years.

Happy Days star Scott Baio has tied the knot for the first time - aged 46.

The actor - who played Chachi on the hit sitcom - wed longtime girlfriend Renee Sloan in Los Angeles on Saturday night.

The low-key ceremony was filmed for the 46-year-old's reality TV show, "Scott Baio is 45… and Single", which premieres next month.

Among the guests was his new wife's 18-year-old daughter by a previous relationship, and their newborn daughter, whose name has not yet been released.

He recently told US magazine People: "My parents were married 53 years, good and bad. "Can I do that? Probably not. But I really hope I can. I don't know, 53 years with the same human being? I can't be around myself for more than three or four hours before I want to kill everybody."

Baio met model and actress Sloan, 34, in the late 1990s at the Playboy Mansion.

They then got back together a couple of years ago.

Baio found fame as The Fonz's cousin on US sitcom Happy Days in the late 1970s.
